India generates 9.46 million tonnes of plastic waste annually out of which 40 per cent remains uncollected and 43 per cent is used for packaging, most of which is single-use.
Project Khwab is an initiative towards substantially reducing this non-biodegradable waste from degrading the quality of the water bodies and landmasses.
Khwab, resonates our “dream for a better planet”. It is an initiative to develop a culture of sustainable consumption in India. With our entrepreneurs spread across various communities, we create a range of zero-waste and sustainable products for personal care, that prevents tonnes of plastic from going into landfills and oceans.
Our entreprenurs are specially-abled individuals, who are provided with online training on the basis of our comprehensive research and development. A significant proportion of the revenue goes to them, thus ensuring substantial levels of income for community.
Our present avenue is bifurcated into two branches. Firstly, producing soap tablets, which are single use dissolvable drops and secondly, shampoo and conditioner bars, which are curated with immensely nourishing ingredients. Our products contain no plastic packaging at all. Instead, we use eco-friendly packaging methods which prevent any addition of harmful chemicals to out surroundings.
We hope to build a novel avenue which will redirect the plastic waste to the relevant stakeholders for converting the same into utility products. In this entire system, a circular economy model would be established where we look forward to eliminate any use of plastic in the first place.
We aim towards creating zero-waste alternatives to daily essentials like shampoos and regular liquid hand washes, reducing landfills created out of shampoo bottles at it's core, by integrating dreams of Team members and entrepreneurs.
